Used Cars Dealer

Used Cars Dealer

Most of us need a good Used Cars Dealer

There are mainly two types of people wanting to buy a car. One group represents the ‘know it alls’ or the unofficial ‘experts’ like me who know just enough about cars to get into a heap of trouble when you either try to fix it yourself, or discover that the ‘great’ deal you got on the internet is going to not only cost you a heap of money to fix but will waste an even larger heap of your time haggling about prices and travelling to inspect it.  This class of people you can’t do much for so this letter is not really addressed to them.

As a bloke, the other day I got to thinking about what I would do if I needed to buy a car but didn’t know anything about wheel bearings, timing, tappets, spark plugs, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, tail shafts, oil changes, gearboxes and the like.  Where would I go? What would I do? where would you find the right used cars dealer

Blokes like me sometimes get the idea that problems of this nature are the domain of the girls but let’s face it guys; there are just as many males who don’t know anything about cars as there are girls. So this brief is addressed to anyone who is a driver dummy no matter what his or her gender is.

Used Cars Dealers have to address the difference between the sexes.

the girls like nice colors and neat little cars

Sure, by nature, guys seem to be more interested in things mechanical than the girls, or as someone said, “as long as the color is right, the upholstery is swish, and it looks really stylish, they couldn’t care if there was a sewing machine under the bonnet.

Well, that’s only partially true as I was forced to admit the other day when I noticed a very dainty feminine, friend of the family who plays and teaches the piano perfectly and is the epitome of a lady, checking under the bonnet of an old beaten up Toyota Corolla. She knew exactly what she was doing. Making sure the oil and water was right and casting a knowing eye over things like hoses and fan belts as well as the slave cylinder and the brake fluid.  She gave me a scornful imitation scowl as I played up the bloke thing and asked her if she knew what she was doing.  I remembered that she had spent quite a lot of time out in the bush where she really had to learn how to care for a car. She could play with the plug leads as efficiently as tinkling the keys on her piano.

Alternatively there are a lot of blokes who wouldn’t know where to start.  I guess calling folks like this ‘dummies’ is a bit harsh and let’s face it, a lot of them are probably much more educated than I will ever be, with my third year high school qualifications.  Let’s just say that they are not up to date with used cars dealers or with all the facts about motor vehicles. They would not know for example that it’s not really wise to buy a second hand luxury model Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, or a Skoda because, even though some of these cars were over $50,000 new and are now only a few thousand dollars, when it comes to getting them fixed, unless you are an expert, it could cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

Find a Used Cars Dealer that specializes in the vehicle you are looking for

Actually, unless you have more money than sense, the best approach to buying a car is to focus on a very few types.  Models that are well known, have a reputation for reliability, have been around for a long time and are very well represented in wrecking yards. By staying between these ‘flags’ you are going to save yourself a heap of money in spare parts should you ever need them, and you are going to pretty well guarantee good service for an extended period of time.  Of course no one can guarantee that something will not go wrong but sheer public consensus tells us that some cars are just more trouble free than others.

This summary is focused on humble people who don’t know much about cars. They wouldn’t know a Cam from a Kangaroo. They don’t know a distributor from a Donkey.  They wouldn’t know a shock absorber from a shoe salesman and they don’t know a tappet from a tap dancer.  All they know is that they want a set of wheels that look really nice.  Something that is really good to sit in and runs like a bird and only costs about $30 for a couple of weeks running around.

Where can you find a reliable used cars dealer?

So where do you go to make a purchase decision? Well, you can go to any of the car sales yards and they are sure to discourage you from buying anything in their yard that would not be the right car for you.  Haaa and trucks can jump over the moon too. Don’t get me wrong. Most car salesmen nowadays are really nice folks who are pretty upfront in giving you the details of a vehicle. The bad old days of putting banana peels in the differential to stop it wining are pretty well gone,  but let’s face it, we all have to make a living, and very few salesmen are going to discourage you from a purchase if it means getting a healthy commission. We all have to make a living.

This is Rogers Car Yard

This is where Roger Woodall comes into it. This is Roger’s Car Yard. You can sit under a tree with him and discuss your needs. Sometimes he has some cars on offer but Roger doesn’t just buy cars and offer them for sale. He FINDS the right car for the right person. Sort of like matchmaking.  Take a look at the pictures on this site and you will be able to find out the main facts about each of the recommended models for your particular needs. Speaking of needs.  We don’t try to keep everyone happy.  We focus on two main areas.  Ladies and some guys who want a little car, cheap to run. Nicely appointed with a lot of good km’s ahead of it.

And mainly guys looking for work trucks who want to double them up as a little truck or utility with a dual cab capable of carrying things to do with running a business but can also be used to throw the family in as well and go for a hike in the country for a few days.  This means that they don’t need two large cars. Just one to do two jobs and if the missus in the family needs a runabout to do the shopping, she fits in well with the aforementioned category.

Roger also specializes in another very niche market allied to the used car trade, and that is Classic Cars and old Classic Racing cars.  Roger has a special interest in this as he was a racing car driver himself back in the 60’s  He was also an expert in racing boats and water skiing, so his knowledge of the industry spreads much further than just cars. He is a used cars dealer with a long history and you can benefit by it, without a feeling of obligation.  If you want to contact Roger, give him a ring on 0408 762007 or 0266 744007 and leave a message if he’s not there.  Otherwise you can leave a note at the bottom of this blog, and he will get a reminder to ring you if you leave your details.
